Datepicker

When I choose a calender field with a Date object as dataprovider, the field has a 'datepicker'. One can set theformat for this field. And one can also choose to set this as mask so the field gives a representation of what/how the field has to filled out. One can also choose 'placeholder' to provide for a custom character in the placeholder.
If one has chosen the last option the datepicker does not any longer gives the current date in case the dataprovider is NULL but falls back to 1-1-1970 and between the arrows one sees only underscores.
The picker itself works fine but it would be nice when it is preset with the todays date.
