Application startup blocked

Postby huber » Tue Jan 21, 2014 10:07 am

Hi All

For reasons we don't know yet, our customer got some days ago (it seems out of the blue), the message that the application cannot start. It's on Windows 7 with Java 7 update 45 AND update 51 as well.
To solve the startup problem, we had to lower the security settings to middle in the Java Preferences (see attached screenshot), which is one level below the recommended setting. As expected, our customer is not happy we this setting and is asking for a solution.
Anyone already found a solution to this?

- Windows 7
- Java 7 update 45 and 51
- Servoy 7.3
- Self signed certificate, latest signtester (V1.3)

Thanks for any hint.

Robert, before posting, please have look at the forum first.

Bottom line: the new Java version does not allow self-signed certificates anymore, at least, not if you lower your security or sign the stuff with your own (official & verified) signing certificate!
