Cannot save to PDF on Mac in Servoy Smart Client

Postby bevil » Thu Feb 11, 2016 7:18 pm

I have a customer who have a Servoy 7.4 solution running from a Mac server to a series of Mac clients.

Two of the users have reported that when they save to pdf using the system print dialog, the favourites in the finder left side bar (including desktop and some sharepoints) have disappeared - absolutely everything in the favourites bar is removed.

I assumed this was a Finder issue, but the problem doesn't occur when printing to PDF from any other application, and viewing finder windows shows all the favourites normally. I then tried reinstalling Servoy, clearing java cache, deleting ~/.servoy folder contents. Nothing has helped.

Has anyone seen anything like this which seems to only affect Java apps? Yes, the prefs on each client is set to 'use system print dialog'...

Many thanks

Hi Bevil,

which version of Java is this?
tried this from developer 7.4.4 with Java 7 - 71, but that works just fine.

Hi Marc

I am not certain of the client java, I think 7u80. It is not something I have seen anywhere else though in all of our customers' solutions.. Only this one customer, and out of all their users, only two...

I will try to reinstall Java.

:)
