portal multiline

Postby Harjo » Wed Jun 25, 2003 4:09 pm

I have a portal (Multiline) I want to place the fields, how I want. In developer I put the fields on a specific place. If go out out of the developer-mode some of the fields have an offset of +/- 5pixels. Back in de developer-mode it isn't.

And If I go in the portal to the next record, sometimes fields dissapear!

Is this a known bug?

Have you filled in the property rowHeight? The rowHeight defines the height of each portal line.

Yes, I did fill in the RowHeight (75px)

Try to place 2 fields in the portal right above eachother (align them)

In the edit-mode there is an offset of about 5px. If I have more records in the same portal, some fields disappear.

We're unable to reproduce the problem on RC3. Can you send a solution that reproduces the problem to support@servoy.com?

thanks

Not sure what offset you mean, but it migth be the selected portal row indicator spacing which is about 5 px.
The selected row indicator is located on the left side and turns black if clicked on that row. (this indicator is seen listview and multiline portal, does not show in the form designer)

I've posted my solution to them, so the dev-team can see it. There are also dissapearing fields, when you have more than one record in a portal. When they fix it, they let us know.

Jan Aleman pointed to me, that if you want to add more fields in a portal, you must first select the portal, than add a new field.
If you don't do this the field does'nt become linked to the portal.
Than also the fields starts dissapearing!

Thanks Jan!
