When the popup comes up and you click with the mouse between the two portals , the form is closing!

But you are saying that youre self..

If you click between the portal the record will be saved (because no edit field has focus anymore then)
And you have an even that is triggerd by recordSave where you do closeDialog..

OK. I understand the reasons for why the dialog is being dismissed, but from a programming standpoint, how do I make sure that the dialog will remain on the screen until the user closes the dialog? Note that some of the buttons to add or remove e-mail addresses or phone numbers will sometimes close the dialog.
