FEATURE: Global definition

If you create a new Global there is no default selection of
the type, like in the Columns.
Is it possible to make a default type selection or a message that
alerts you that no global will be created (if no type is selected)?

I guess you mean inside the Define dataproviders dialog.

If you define a global without attaching a type to it, you can
close the dialog by clicking OK, without getting a warning.
