Printing a letter from a text_area input

Hi,

We have a mail-merge requirement from a client that includes the ability to print to paper form sending letter with regular mail. There are a number of things we need to take into account that we can not achieve with the out-of the-box Servoy. The special situations we need to take into account are:

- The system needs to run in a web-client only environment. No smartclient
- Letters are generated from templates and pre-filled with certain information
- The users need to be able to change the resulting letter and make alterations
- Nothing can or may be stored locally on the users machine (so no file upload)
- All changes need to be stored in the Database

This leads to a solution where we first generate a letter from a template, and then show it inside a text-area. The user can then make changes and needs to be able to same them. So far so good.

The next step would be to print the letter to send out with regular mail. This includes page-margins and page-breaks. The first can be set in a template, the second can be inserted by the user if needed. Since it is all web we can not access the local printers and need some sort of "PDF" solution. It would be a similar thing to the way for example google docs takes care of printing.

Is there anybody that has done this and could give me a direction to look at?
