Preference for no navigator?

Postby djlapin » Thu Aug 30, 2012 10:59 pm

Is there a default somewhere that I can set, so the navigator never appears on forms? I never use this thing and usually forget to disable it. So it's one more thing to correct.

Thank you,
Don

Hi Don,

This is no default you can set in the prefs or so. It's something that others (and me) also asked for.
Right now the only way to have some control over the default settings is to create a template out of a form and use that each time you create a new form. It's just a bit of a pain that templates are per workspace so if you work with many different workspaces (per project for instance) then you need to create one in each workspace.

Hope this helps.

Hi Don,

There is such a setting. As of Servoy 6.1, in the Developer, Windows->Preferences->Servoy, there is a setting called "Set default navigator on new forms" (in the Form Properties category at the bottom of the page). That should do the trick.

Regards,
Andrei

Hmm..wow. I guess I should really study the prefs in 6.1 then. Didn't know this one
I stand corrected. :)

The ability to make the default navigator go away forever is probably one of the best Servoy features of all time. AWESOME!
