macOS Sierra - anyone upgraded yet?

Postby steve1376656734 » Sun Oct 09, 2016 11:45 am

Hi,

Just wondered if anyone had upgraded to macOS sierra yet and if they had encountered any issues with Servoy (7.4.8 or 8.1)? Thinking of taking the plunge and always work with the principle forewarned is forearmed!!

Thanks
Steve

I have been using macOS Sierra since the early beta's, no issues for me.
Of course it does kill your Java 6 install when you upgrade. When you need it you can install it again.

Hope this helps.

I'm also running Sierra and haven't seen any issues (so far...)

Steve
Working for me the only gotcha was Java got updated and if your running S7 you need to re apply the version 6 Java install from Apple, other than that all good

Cheers

Hi All

Sorry to come to this thread so late but I just gat a new machine that is running Mac OS X 10.12.3 Sierra.

I downloaded idk 6 from apple and when I attempted to install, the installer said Not Allowed.

When I attempted to download it from Oracle. it said idk 6 is no longer available for Mac.

Is there some other source available?

Thanks

Tom

I installed without requiring jdk 6 at all. I simply installed jdk8 from Oracle, rebooted the Mac and then installed Servoy. Everything runs like a dream :)
