Updates and more

Postby IT2Be » Tue Feb 14, 2017 1:11 am

Hi all,

Today we released a major update for all our components.
JSDocumentation was the main driver for this release.

A lot of time was put into improving the documentation but we are not yet there.
Please give us your input when you see things that can be improved.

While testing all the changes we took the time to redo all sample solutions as well.

Last December we also modernized our website (http://www.servoycomponents.com).
Navigation is easier and you can now also use it on your tablet and mobile.

We also added API Specifications for all components.
You can find the link in the 'How to Use' menu item for each component.
It makes looking things up easer than ever before.
Like with the JSDocumentation it is a work in progress so whatever tips and suggestions you have please tell us.

Hi Marcel,

Very nice looking website. One request though.
Can you identify your download section better? I had to hunt for it and never expected it to find it under 'support'.
After all the main purpose of the site is to get the product installer in the hands of as many prospects as possible :)

Hi Robert,

I did not want to have too many menus but I guess my aim for a 'cleaner design' went a little crazy ;)

I will think of a better solution.

Thank you for the solution and for your compliments!

@Juan Thanks!

Hi Marcel,

New site looks very nice Image, but I'm missing a "Back" button when opening the "API Specifications" link for certain plugins

Hi Peter,

Thank you!

A back button is a good idea.
I could also open the api specs in a new window/tab (because you are on a different website).

I will add this to the list.

Hi Robert, hi Peter,

Maybe not 100% what you asked/suggested but:

- I added a 'download' menu item to all component pages.
- I added an 'information' icon after the name that brings you (back) to the website page.
