SMS from 7.4 Webclient

Postby grahamg » Mon Dec 17, 2018 11:54 pm

Subject says it all really . . . .

Searched and could not find any recent posts so wondering if anyone can recommend an SMS service to send 20-30 SMS messages at a time.

Thanks

Hi Graham,

you will need an SMS broker service to achieve this.
This service should have a public API, so you can execute your requests using an HTTP-client

Which SMS service to use is depending on the amount of messages you will be sending during a specific amount of time.
There are probably pre-paid services out there as well.
You just have to find the broker with a pricing plan that best suits your needs.

Hope this helps.

We have integrated two SMS providers in our Servoy apps: Nexmo and Labsmobile. Nexmo has good prices and documentation for its API, but I prefer Labmobile, it's a small provider, but its API is simple, clear and easy to integrate with Servoy.

Thanks Marc and Juan

Have been looking at https://fastsms.co.uk/ - will also checkout Labsmobile and report back if project goes ahead.

Cheers

Hi Graham,

We have used Clickatell (https://www.clickatell.com) in our projects and this has worked well for us. It has multiple APIs ranging from simple SMTP interface (send them an e-mail it sends out as an SMS) to full on REST API.

Thanks
Steve

Hi Graham,

We are using BudgetSMS (https://www.budgetsms.net/) in our project and have really good experiences with them. They work with you to create the best SMS paths for your needs.
They use a very easy to use API. And they also support push DLR reports, so their system will notify you with status updates for your messages.

Sorry Akash, but all these domains belong to the same company (which I will not name here). A company that, among other things does bulk SMS.
