Avery labels

one thought prior to an upgrade from FM to Servoy concerns labels for print out

do we have to design these ourselves or is something in the works that will offer these form capabilities

make your label printform as big as 1 label and set the correct defaultPageSize and Servoy will print labels
There is a wizard planned for doing this for you based on avery code

Maybe it's me but I can't get more than 1 column of labels.
They don't go from left to right.
And since the forum doesn't hold attachments anymore I can't check out the example solution mentioned in the linked thread.

Also what is the status of this label wizard?

The thing you have todo is to make your papersize(=defined by paperPrintScale) N times bigger than your form width. (or formwidth N times smaller than papersize)
So if you have a form width of 300 and the papersize is 600 you will have 2 columns
The paper size is indicated by the white lines on your form.

Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words. In this case try 8 pictures:

Hi Westy

Would like to add my thanks for sharing your lable printing. This will save a bundle of time. Maybe worth contact David at Servoy Mag as this type of step-by-step instruction is very useful.

Agree with your comments on Budha Bob - if only he was more self confident :)

Regards

Dear Westy,
Is it still possible to take a look at these label pictures? The urls don't seem to work anymore....

I just recreated the screenshots and placed them at the same location, so the above links should now be working again. Hope this helps.

For "Tips and Tricks" attend my session at ServoyWorld. The session is entitled "How insurance agents raised their productivity with Servoy". Do not be scared off by the name of the session. I plan to include real world examples of things we have done to simplify the delivery of Servoy solutions, plus examples of what Servoy can do with PDFs (including some things not shown in the current Servoy PDF sample solution).

Very helpful indeed, Dean! A picture really is worth a tousand words... :)

Related question: is there a way to have the labels print from top to bottom instead of from left to right, and for the subsummarry part to not span the whole page width but just the body width instead - 'a la FM'? In other words, I would like to fill the first column from top to bottom first, then go on to the second, then the third, then on to the first column on the next page, etc. :?:

TIA,

Ben

Any chance we could get those screenshots posted again? Or is there a better way to do labels now? I'm having the same trouble setting up labels as these guys did years ago, and I can't find much information about how to set them up.
