It is possible to use an empty Title Text ( “”) for a field by just deleting the title. ( The border is used as a frame on a text field)

The designer displays this correctly - but only until next time the solution is loaded.
The Title Text is now set to “0” instead of beeing empty (“”).

Another suggestion for the Title Text:
Lookup / calculated values for the Title Text

I tested this under the windows LAF and cannot reproduce this, but why don’t you use a etched border? (which is the same as titleborder without text)

Sure, it does not make any sense :wink:
You can reproduce it under MacOS X 10.3 / latest Java.
