It seems that the solutionModel doesn’t support getting/creating shapes - true?

The tooltip help and the documentation says that form.getComponents() will only return JSLabel, JSButton, JSField, JSTabpanel, JSPortal, JSBean…

Bug - or by design?

JSRectShape is not implemented (yet), you could file a feature request for it.
