When you try to add a field in a firebird table and the name already exists or you are not allowed to use that name you get a nice and smooth error message. No issue there. But when the message is clicked away you have a field ‘type_here’ that is not editable (appended so it seems) anymore… Not so nice!
When you then try to delete that field (or another field, I tested this) you can get an error message like the below on when you close the editor window…
