I searched all the pdf’s and the help navagator in Server Developer. I could not locate a reference to this subject.

Thanks for the suggestion. We will add to the information on the “allow
empty value checkbox” when defining a valuelist to the next version of
the Servoy online Help Navigator as well as the printed Servoy
documentation.
