[Announcement] VelocityReport plugin available!

To celebrate Servoy Stuff web site reaching 10.000 visits today, I’ve made available the VelocityReport plugin.

You’ve heard rumours about it: they say it is going to change forever the way you do reporting in Servoy. The truth is that now you will have yet another powerful option to build your reports.

This is yet another (French-Canadian/American) Swiss knife for Servoy brought to you by Servoy Stuff and Jeff Bader!
We’ve coined it ‘Servoy reports - the easy way’ - and it lives up to its name ;-) Not only can you build powerful HTML reports and export them to PDF with it, but you can also use it as an internal templating tool or an extended charting tool (with as much options as Google charts) and a barcode tool.

You can download it on the Servoy Stuff web site’s related page.
You will also find a wiki with extended documentation and access to the source repository on the google code site.

Enjoy!

Congratulations Patrick on the 10K visits! I’m not surprised to hear how much attention your site is getting as it’s filled with truly useful information (and some great commentary/observations).

For the folks in the Servoy community, the VelocityReport plugin is really a great one, and has many serious advantages over both the internal reporting tool provided by Servoy, and Jasper. It’s worth checking out for sure. Also, because it ships with a charting and barcoding servlet/web-service, creating charts and barcodes in Servoy is now truly a piece of cake!

Give it a whirl. :D :!:

Congratulations to both!

IMHO The best thing to happen to Servoy in quite some time!

Congratulation on your site success Patrick - and I really hope you grasp the Servoy open source project with both hands (and I know you wont be able to resist poking around in there LOL) - between you, Jeff, Robert and all the other stalwart contributors through this forum I think Jan will be right - Servoy is about to take off!

Bring it on!!! :D

Thank you all for your encouragements!
And for those who haven’t tried the VelocityReport yet, do yourself a favor and give it a try!

How do you think I will manage to do your ‘MAKE IT WORK’ button if I don’t poke around, eh? ;-)

Could you please ensure that is the default button for every new form please Patrick - you know me I’ll forget sometimes - and that can only result in me having to do WORK!!! I’ll make a sample solution and put in a request
