Applying security to tables

Hello

While trying to apply a (sensible) security concept, I am stuck with applying table security.
In every module I get all tables to access under the DB Server node. Now, in Table Settings > Explicit, I can set Read, Insert, Update, … BUT in every module different, i. e. contradictory to the settings in another module and there again contradictory to the settings in another module …

Now, who wins? Or, more technically, what settings are overridden by which settings?

Either I miss something here or this is very strange.

Enlightments on this subject are very welcome :-)

Regards, Robert

PS: Forms are only shown per solution, so there is a clean separation on forms (as opposed to tables)

You are the first to bring this under our attention, while coding on Servoy 4.0 we noticed this strange behaviour as well and made the table security settings solution independent. (group dependent only)

But this is hard to port back from 4.0 to 3.5.x without possible solution breakage in a “minor” update, like upcoming Servoy 3.5.6

Suggestions are welcome…
