This morning I changed a method (about an hour work) and got it all working e.g. I saved the method changes!
Than, when this was all done and tested I wanted to change over to another form and noticed that window menu was greyed out but I still could use the File menu to quit.
So I quitted like I normally do and started up the solution again. And guess what: a big chunk (not all) of my changes were lost! I had to do the job all over again!
Don’t know where this comes from (whether it is 10.2 or 10.3 or c5) but this makes me very uncertain about what I can expect after changing things.
I’ve noticed an issue on 10.2 with the latest java where menu’s go away and additionaly Apple’s quit command will not send quit to Servoy but kill the Java process (this was not the case on their previous java release). We are investigating how we can work around that issue. I have also sent a request to the dev-team if a save to database can be done every time you press verify.
Does the graying out menu problem still exist with Mac OS X 10.3?
I can’t tell you that Jan, most of my problems occured after working with some tables and field definitions and haven’t done that with 10.3 yet (only installed after 2100 yesterevening).
But… I will report you asap! BTW the mentioned problem was/is under 10.3 so this looks like a bit of an issue to me…
