When building a new NG Desktop installer, are there any best practices in regard to the icons and pictures?
we tried several pictures in bmp-format but most of them got stretched in a strange way or weren’t shown at all.
What sizes and which sub-format of bmp works best?
What size should the icons be? 256x265 looks good on windows, but the mac-version had the servoy-logo as icon:

Is this a problem mit the image or with the builder?

With what version of Servoy are you building these NGDesktop clients?
2021.09 and up do create NGDesktop for mac with icon (and also be notarised)

I’m using “Servoy version 2021.9.0 -releaseNumber 3703”, right now I only get a mail with an error message (see my other post in this forum), i built this version with the same version, on the 6th of december. Notarization seems to be ok, i get the info about the file being downloaded and if i would like to run it, so that’s ok.
Therefore I’m not sure about the icon.

I had success with an icon as png. What file format are you using?
Also mine is 1024x1024 pixels.
I used an 256px x 256px in my Experiments. I’ll try a larger size as soon as I can create a client again.

currently there is no support to change image and icon for MacOS dmg.
The icon and image are for Windows only version of the installer and the size limits appears in the tooltip (“Icon path”, “Image path”):
Currently 256 x256 px for icon (max 256 Kb) and 164 x 314 px for image (max 512 Kb). You may specify any image as long as you keep your size limits but the image will be streched to fit these sizes
I changed the icon to a size of 1000x1000, now the symbol ist correct.
