Calcs not showing in Client

Hi

In Servoy 5 we have problems displaying calcs in the client.

The first attachment shows how it should look like and is the client started within the Servoy Developer.

The second shows how the client shows it (via the app server). The missing data are calc columns. It’s very strange that on both platform in the column “Periode”, only the first 4 records are displayed. How can this be? There are 34 records there (as seen at the bottom of the list). The 34 records are loaded, otherwise it would not show the bottom line which is an aggregate, not a calc.

And, before a big discussion about Java on certain OS starts, the third attachement shows how it looks on Windows (the same bad display).

Of course, the result is for the customer unacceptable, because it’s not usable. Is this problem solved in Servoy 5.1?

Thanks, Robert

Hi Robert,

are you sure you are looking at the same form?

in the form from the Developer-client I see an extra column with a green icon.
that column is not shown in the real-clients?

Hi Harjo

Yes, sorry, it is really the same form, the only problem is I have not made a screenshot of the correct one and had already developed further, i. e. added the column with the green indicator and removed the column with the radio buttons (which is not a common form of displaying such info) - but yes the problem is as seen in the screenshots. You have no problems with the display of calcs in client?

Best regards, Robert

we still have no deployment on Servoy 5, but I have not (yet) seen this behaviour.
are those stored? non-stored calcs?

All are non-stored calcs.

Robert,

Calcs that iterate over a foundset or use aggregates had some refresh-issues in Servoy 5.0.
These are fixed in 5.1.

Can you give it a try with the latest 5.1?

Rob

Robert,

We fixed some issues with cell painting in table view in 5.1 rc3, please test your solution with this update.

Rob

Rob, I will do, regards, Robert

Hi Rob

I still have occasionally problems with calcs NOT displaying correctly. Just implemented some forms and a related tabless tab form with calcs et voila, the problems are here again.
But what I found is that restarting the Servoy Application Server solves the problem - temporarily!?

It occurs after a while, can be days, again, but it seems that restarting the application server resolves the problem (for a while).

Hope this helps to may be dug a bit deeper, Robert

Robert, just to confirm

When the problem re-appears, and you close your client and open a new one, does the new client always have this issue?

And when you open a new client after restarting the application server, does the new client not have the issue?

Rob

Rob, yes, that’s how I found it to behave. Interestingly, I found that no calcs show at all, or some are filled, but never all, That’s before I restart the Servoy App Server. Regards, Robert
