I may regret interjecting here, but…

Do you never use mutliple windows? In Excel, Word, your email client, web browsers, ‘ad nauseum’, do you only ever have one window open?

If Servoy will never have this aspect of GUI functionality, then fine, we can work around it. But the idea that “you don’t really need that standard and accepted piece of the GUI paradigm” is something that is a bit hard for me to swallow.
Excel, Word, my email client and so forth, do show multiple windows, but those windows have little or nothing to do with one another. They show a window for each file, or each email, or whatnot.
You can’t edit page five of a Word document, and page 10 of that SAME document, in two separate windows. Instead, you can split the screen.
In Excel, you have a tab for each spreadsheet in the SAME FILE. The other “windows” are different files (solutions), not different views of the same thing.
If you want to have “multiple windows” in the same sense as Excel, Word, and FileMaker 6, simply open Servoy Client a second time. You can even sign in as two different users, or into two different solutions!
I can see how someone might want independent windows, and just because I don’t want it doesn’t mean no one else should. Perhaps, as stated here, it would be a nice choice in a future version.
Meanwhile, though, let’s compare apples to apples. The ‘multiwindows’ of Excel and Word aren’t really what we want, unless we thought FM6 had the right idea, and want to go back to one table, one file, one window.
