Can't export solution 3.5 RC7 after upgrading from RC6

In 3.5 RC7 I can’t export my solution anymore since going to RC7. I get the following error:

com.servoy.j2db.persistence.RepositoryException: java.lang.NullPointerException
java.lang.NullPointerException

I use Servoy Developer
Version 3.5 rc7-build 512
Java version 1.6.0_02-b06 (Windows XP)
MySQL 5.0.45

My log says:

If you have checked the ‘Export i18n data’ checkbox, please check your server settings, is the i18n server enabled and valid?

Rob

Same for sample data, are all referred servers enabled and valid?

Rob

All servers are valid. I tried not checking anything on export also. It happened with RC7.

I did delete some connections, don’t remember when, maybe somewhere between RC5 and RC7. I went back and tried putting them back in for the heck of it but still didn’t work.

Since I can’t export a solution, I uploaded a Mysql backup of the repository and databases to my support case #87213

Steve

Investigation showed that tables had been dropped on which value lists were defined.
Export could not deal with that situation (will be fixed on next update).

Rob

It worked.

Thank you very very much for the fast turn around. You guys saved me. I’m leaving for a month to the US on Monday and had to leave something that worked with this Japanese company to play around with while I’m gone. On Friday here while they were standing behind me I had one thing after another happen. I tried an export, didn’t work, when to bug reporting web site, didn’t work, someone in the office went to the Servoy Store web page, buttons didn’t work…

I couldn’t get 3.1.x to work and anything before 3.5RC7 to work fully so was dependent on 3.5 RC7.

I’m trying to prove to Japan that Servoy is a good choice and these guys are the ones that can make that happen.

Some co-workers and I are working on a Servoy Japan webpage and hope to have something up by the time I return. If all goes well this month, then that web site is going to be very very active.

Thanks again,

Steve

As Marcel would say: Nice font and colors!
