A client from me has the samen error, he’s on a xp machine. It has nothing to do with the server, since other computers do work. And I get the same error when I try to download a client from http://localhost:8080/
When I download and start the jnlp file, it doesn’t create the files in the Java cache directory.
I use java 1.4.2 and am on a mac (10.5.3), my client uses java 10.4.2 and is on a xp.
You do realize that support for 2.2.x ends by the end of June (just a heads up)?
Have you tried clearing cache of the browser.
There is no need for it with current version but I do know of certain versions/combinations that remarkably came to life after browser cache was cleared…
And that worked… And after that it also created other jnlp files in the same directory… It seems that it doesn’t have the permission to create directories or something like that.
I have seen this problem on laptops, both Windows XP and Mac OS X, Servoy 3.0 and 3.5.5, Java 1.5 and Java 6.
You load a client in one location, typically in a hotel, possibly connected to the internet via some proxy server. It works fine. You try using the client again from some other location and it fails.
A client went on a sales trip to the Caribbean. In the middle of the trip Servoy client failed to load. When he came back we discovered the name of a some ISP embedded within the launch url.
To get it going again I think you need to clear out the cache, delete the jnlp file or repair the link.
