Combo box not closing

I am using Mac OS 10.4 with Servoy 2.2.2.

When I created a combobox attached to a valuelist, the values show up, but when I choose one, the combobox does not close, I have to click outside of the drop down list in order for it to close. Is there another type of field I can use to create a drop down list?

Thanks,
Anthony

Hi all,

I too am getting this problem. But it only happens periodically and is not consistently reproducible. Same behavior, when i select soemthing from the drop down, the combo box will not close. But you can continue using the rest of the program. I can’t get rid of the “stuck” gray box until I restart the client.

Our employees refer to it as “gray screen of death”

Please help.

This behavior occurs on servoy 2.2.3, java 1.429 AND java 1.5

I have a recent post about the same problem. http://forum.servoy.com/viewtopic.php?t=5911

This has been present for a long time. I think since 2.2

I have already sent in a sample solution that reproduces the problem.

It happens all the time. It is a huge interface problem. The combobox list hides the info behind it and the only way to get rid of it is to restart the client. My clients have to do this about 10 times per day and they are not pleased. I use my own software and it annoys me to no end. I would really really appreciate a post for the Servoy team at least acknowledging that they are working on it. I need something to tell my clients.

If you think it is really urgent? send it to: support@servoy.com

If users have a grey box that covers up the interface so they cannot use the application without restarting it, then yes they consider that to be an urgent problem.

A work around has been suggested on http://forum.servoy.com/viewtopic.php?t=5911.

We have seen this problem with a number of clients & each time we were able to resolve by ugrading to java 1.5. We definitely saw this fix it in our implementation.

I would like to upgrade all of clients to 1.5 but can’t because of this problem which was reported a long time ago and still persist:
