Conflicting groups

Hi,

Say you have a user assigned to two security groups: users and accounting.

Say that accounting lets them view a certain form, but users does not. which takes precedence?

The user get the highest privilege so your user will see the form, take a look at the docs for further info, Mark Norman has done a woderful job there.

I bought the book set from Servoy, but don’t always know which one to use.

Tip: download the manuals in pdf format so you can search by keyword. It is not the same as having the REAL book in your hands (an experience that cannot be substituted by the digital one imho) but it’s very handy when using the manual as a reference.

-Make sure that Servoy Developer is open.
-Choose the menu item Help > Help (F1).
-Open the “Search” tab.
-Enter “security” in the Search Criteria box and press “Search”.
-Doubleclick on “Defining Groups” from the Topic Selection list.
-Choose the menu item Tools > Find.
-Type in the criteria you wish to find (such as “multiple group”) in "Find What’
-Click “Find Next” button to highlight the next instance of the
search criteria in the open topic.
