Data from Combobox fields not saved in WebClient

Help!! I am running MS Windows XP Professional with SP1, JAVA version 1.5.0_15-b04 and Servoy 3.18. I noticed while debugging

a new solution that the data selected from a combobox was not being saved when using the WEBClient. I also noticed that

when selecting a value (custom valuelist) from the combobox in my solution, the selection did not trigger the onDataChange

method as I expected. The editable box is unchecked. So I went to the ServoyCRM solution and edited the very first record by

changing the status from Active to Inactive and when I pressed the Save button, status changed back to Active. I had made no

programming changes the to ServoyCRM solution. I loaded Servoy version 3.17 and observed the same behavior. I tried the

WEBClient with Internet Explorer 6.0. with SP2 and FireFox 3.04 with the same results. However everything works as it should in

the Smart Client. I am totally confused as to what would cause the WEBClient to behave badly. :? I am on a short leash here and

would appreciate any inputs. Thanks in advance for your assistance!

We experienced webclient data save issues when allowing changes to be made from a list. Forcing all data changes to be made from a form instead of from a list made the problems go away.

Thank you Westy for the favor of your reply.

This is a critical problem for me. I need comboboxes to control the range of information entered into the database. Some of the comboboxes are

dependent on previous selections. I at least need the functionality that is shown in the ServoyCRM demo. The combo boxes there are driven by

various lists. Is there anything that I should look for in my environment that could be causing the Servoy WEBClient demo not to work as advertised?

Is this a bug that needs to be reported to Servoy? Again thank you for your reply.

Unless someone else can help you, perhaps you should create a small sample solution and submit it as a new case to Servoy. They are very responsive.
