Date Format Mask and Find

Hi All

Does the format mask for date fields preclude the use of wildcard characters in the Find Mode.

If I have a format with a mask on a date field, when in the Find mode I can not use “<” ,“>” or “…”. This means that I con not find a group of records between Date1 and Date2.

if the mask still works in find mode then that is a bug
Please create a case for this… (with a small sample)

Hi,

We see that the ‘Use as mask’ propery of a calendar field is not working in detail form find mode like it does in edit mode.

Should that be working in find mode the same as in edit mode ?

no in find mode its a free entry text field
This is because you can type in stuff like “now”
or “xxxx…yyyy” for between stuff
So masking can’t work in find mode

That’s a pity. Our customer is not too happy about typing the - when searching for a date.
