As Servoy continues to grow, so is our SAN membership and our developer base. There are numerous ways that you can build up your visability to help you gain more business. As you may know, our founders were all once developers and consultants – and they grew those businesses quite well with some of the following ideas. We hope you will grab one or more of these opportunities and run with them to build up your visability as a leading Servoy developer or consultant or training firm.
-
host the (or “a”) Virtual Users Group (we would be OK with it going outside of the “official” Servoy house and being run as an independent entity. We believe that would give it even more credibility. We would still offer Servoy support and speakers, of course.)
-
offer Pod casts (not being done by anyone yet). (AND being requested on the forum…)
-
offer downloadable training (perhaps using a third party).
-
write a book(s) about Servoy, tips and tricks, how tos, example files, etc.
-
offer webinars about Servoy
-
write an ongoing, constant blog about Servoy
-
write example files or basic apps and sell them as “starting points”.
-
hold a regional conference (independent of Servoy) - we would still support you.
-
publish a newsletter (“real” or via email)
-
publish a magazine or work with a publisher (I would only do quarterly at this point, monthly is too much).
Servoy is GROWING at an astonishing rate. We will see well over double in sales and growth again this year (5th year running!). Do not be surprised at the huge JUMPS in growth in the next 18 months. NOW is the time to establish your firm and/or yourself as “the” Servoy expert in a specific “niche” (e.g. - like Bob Cusick = “101 tips” or Jan Aleman = "The SQL plug in).
P.S. – Don’t forget about things that did not exist in Bob and Jan’s “era” - like Google ads with Servoy keywords.
Best wishes and know that we WANT you to succeed!!
