developing for NG1 in 2022-09

We are in the process of upgrading to 2022-09. In the release notes for that version is says:

Defaults are changed to be TiNG (editor/launching) but also when exporting in WAR, now TiNG is default included and NG1 is not, this can be adjusted with flags (-ng1)

We need to continue developing for NG1.

First, should we use the TiNG editor, which is now the default to develop forms for NG1 deployment? Is there an option to use the NG1 editor for form editing? If so, how is that done? Perhaps the TiNG editor is being used for both NG1 and NG2 form editing. That is not clear to me.

The launched solution needs to be NG1. Where can this be adjusted with flags (-ng1)?

This is obscure. Nor is there any reference I can find about the in the Wiki.

Hi Terry,

When developing, you can retain the NG1 experience by simply unticking the 2 boxes highlighted in the screenshot below:
[attachment=1]preferences.png[/attachment]

When creating the WAR file, tick the box in this screenshot:
[attachment=0]war.png[/attachment]
