As far as I can see, If I set controller.setDesignmode there is a different behaviour depending of the form view setting :
Recordview : I can move everything ( labels, buttons, datafields )
Listview : I can not move datafields
Tableview : the view changes to recordview when controller.setDesignmode is issued.
Is this expected behaviour ? I do not see anything in the wiki doc.

tableview: this is correct behavior, its just like you are in the designer.
listview: should behave like a tableview, this is a bug.

Behaviour is a bit different then I thought.
In listview only elements in the header can be moved, not elements in the body.

Just got confirmation that this will be fixed in 5.2.1
Listview will behave the same as tableview.

Be interested in how your are using design mode. We checked it out at great length and determined it was unusable for anything useful at this stage of development.
Not sure yet.
I was just checking out the new functionallity in 5.x and then I ran into this issue.
I’ll get back on this when I am going to use it.
