Eclipse committ error

Hi all,

We’ve recently setup a new SVN server on a Mac Xserve. I installed Servoy 4.1b4 and have since upgraded to 4.1b6. I’ve also installed the Subclipse plugin 1.4.x.

When we commit a solution to the SVN server it goes all the way through the process and at the end we get the following error messages:

Access is denied.
svn: Commit failed (details follow):
svn: Can’t open ‘C:\Documents and Settings\Admin\servoy_workspace.svn\tmp\tempfile.tmp’: Access is denied.

Any thoughts on what is causing this?

Thanks,

Rich Coulombre

I would use Subversive but that is just my opinion ( and of many others :) ).

Can you check that the file is really there?

Rich,

There are some people on the web blaming anti-virus software for this, maybe you can try turning it of (temporary)

Thank you!

It was our McAfee total virus protection suite getting in the way. i uninstalled it and bingo… everything works now!!!

Cheers,

Hi all,

A little bit more info to help anyone in the future.

I uninstalled McAfee and that eliminated the commit problems. To test further I reinstalled McAfee and everything still works. Why… I don’t know.

FYI there is a way to temporarily disable McAfee if you run into this problem. If you hold down Control-Shift and click on the McAfee icon in the system tray, then look under the Scan Tasks submenu, there is a menu item to disable the access scan temporarily.

Best,

Rich
