egit and servoy

Hi,

I have been testing with eclipse/egit for a while now in a php project.
I really like the idea of a dvcs.

Is there a best practice to setup egit for an existing servoy project?
Do i make my workspace a git repository or …?
Can I work with a bare repository on a linux server and my servoy eclipse running on windows 7 ?

When can we expect 7.3, because I really like the git way of source control.
