Error whilst creating a new DB Server

I’m trying to create a new DB-server and I get the following error:

org.firebirdsql.jdbc.FBSQLException: Resource Exception. I/O error during “CreateFile (open)” operation for file “D:\Program Files\Servoy/database/paulo.gdb”
Error while trying to open file
null
Reason: I/O error during “CreateFile (open)” operation for file “D:\Program Files\Servoy/database/paulo.gdb”
Error while trying to open file
null

I noticed that in the pathname uses the backslash and forward slash are used at the same time.
I also used the Auto Setup Server and just filled the blanks.

To be complete:
Windows 2000
Servoy Version R2 2.0 rc2-build 262 (trial)
Firebird as backend

make it forward or all backward if you want but are you really sure that file is there and not somehow locked by something else?

here’s a screendump…
also the directory where the Servoy Databases resides is on the screendump.
Changing the slahes didn’t also work

tweetie

But where is the paulo.gdb file?
As i ask before.. is the file there? And you show me a screendump which doesn’t show the file!!

You have to make a copy of the empty.gdb and name it paulo.gdb..

Is it me or what? I don’t see a paulo.gdb database in your directory :?

You have to create one first. Copy the empty.gdb to a new paulo.gdb and then make your new server connection…

Should work!

I assumed Servoy would build me a database…
Didn’t know the trick of the empty.gdb…

He..if it’s not Filemaker I don’t understand (yet)
I need a crash course

Well, Servoy does a lot for you… If not all but it needs that empty database to be able to fill it…

And for that crash course: don’t hesitate to ask (or come by I am in Gorinchem :) )…
