I can set the font size of a button - with no problems (2.0RC3).

I noticed you are right on Windows (just checked that). On OS X the font won’t resize…
BTW I played with it again and also font setting and properties like bold etc are ignored…
BTW 2 Playing more shows me that my remark counts for the default laf border settings (button) and not when I make the choice for another border…
Yup. This is the problem I was talking about in my last post. Under O/S X, seems you can’t both get a button to act like a button (visually darken on being pressed; because it only exhibits that behavior when set to ‘default’ border) and control its visual attributes such as border and text font. Sent a post to Apple about this, but haven’t heard back. Anyone know someone on the Apple Java team we could contact?
Well, if this is an Apple issue we will have to sit back and wait
And, this doesn’t only count for a button but also for a label…
