Form editor / Properties vs. JS editor / Outline view

Is it possible to define if I open a form.frm that automatically opens the Properties view and if I open a form.js file it automatically opens the Outline view?

If I edit a form, I want the following view:

If I edit source code, I want the following view:

How can I realize such a behavior if I switch between *.frm and *.js files?

Hi,

I don’t think you can make views automatically appear (i.e. switch tabs) but what you can do is show both properties and outline view at the same time.
In fact the outline view can be used (and is very handy!) in both form- and code editors. The following screenshots show you my layout of the Servoy Design perspective.
Hopefully this gives you some ideas.
(As you might notice I merged the Debug and Servoy Design perspectives into 1 perspective)

The following screenshots were done on screen with a resolution of 1920x1200.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your answer, but unfortunately your suggestion does not help me, because it comsumes a lot of space.

It’s very handy to use a large resolution for Servoy and Eclipse, I use 2.560x1.440 and would not like to miss it.
Such monitors are not that expensive any more, I can recommend the Acer B326HUL (32", about 500 Euro), though there are a lot others in that range.
As the screen font in eclipse is quite small with such resolution, I enlarged the general Windows Fonts (works nice in Win 8.1), and now everything in Eclipse is showing large enough.
