Form EXTENDS (more dumb questions!)

Hi Folks
I have a base form used to extend the methods of several other forms. The onDragOver event I have programmed in the main form is not shown in the base form (the onDragover code is in the base form, and called from the shown form - if that makes sense?).

I’m pretty sure that in v5 I could see the base forms code in the main form .js page too - that’s is not so for me in v6 right now!

I guess I’ve done something wrong in the creation of the base form - but I cant think what that might be. I’m using other base form in the solution and I’m guessing they are still working as anticipated?

It seems mad but since attempting to create this base form - and then deleting it and all code to do with it - I cant now get ANY form to allow a drop. Even with a brand new test form with only onDragOver and onDrop code there is only the no Drop symbol. I can use this form on another PC with the same SVN’d code but for some reason this install of Servoy simply wont allow a drop any more??

Seems my v6 install became corrupted somehow during these form operations. Re-testing today on a clean install seems to be working as expected.

Ian, I will have you know that as the “Rookie Rides Again”, I pride myself on asking questions that are dumber than everyone else. You can try, but I am confident that as The Rookie I will forever be your superior at dumbness.

Of course, I did decide to let Servoy 6 “ripen” a bit before I upgraded to it. :wink:
