Fresh Vista Install / Server Issues / Deployment

Hello,

I have created a new solution that will be used in a workgroup enviroment that runs vista machines. I am doing a clean of servoy 4.1.3 on a test machine. I want to install servoy and select the ability to create a service. As has been mentioned, I am unable to install in the programs directory so I install in the ‘C:\Servoy’ directory.

After the installation, I am unable to start the server manually or create a service from the application_server folder. From what I can see in the forum posts is that I need to edit the wrapper properties in the config file. I have tried with no luck, and am unable to access the server admin page. Am I doing something wrong during the install or do I have to edit some files due to a conflict with vista?

Also, I have worked only with sql2000 and have used syabase for this solution. Do I have to manually move my database to the db directory on the deployment machine and attach them? If so do I have to install sybase central on that machine or is there another way to attach it.

Eventually I just want to install the solution and server on the machine and not have any extra software installed when I am done testing the enviorment.

Thanks for any insight on this.

I found a post that lets you install 4.1 into the vista “C:/program directory”: If you disable the UAD you can perform the install, then you can re-enable it.
