Help please!! 'Error/Warnigs in Relations'

Version R2 2.0 rc3-build 263
Java version 1.4.1_03-b02 (Windows XP)

Just tried to reopen Solution in Developer and had error messages:

Error/warnings in Relations

Switch to design mode to fix the problem in this relation(s):

Relation ‘gcurr_adrs_to_adrs_id’ is refering to a server table or column which does not exist.
The dataprovider globals.gcurr_adrs or column adrsid does not exist as defined in the relation gcurr_adrs_to_adrs_id

then

Could not retrieve form data:

The dataprovider globals.gcurr_adrs or column adrsid does not exist as defined in the relation gcurr_adrs_to_adrs_id

Have checked and both column [adrsid] and global [gcurr_adrs] exist and both are integers.

But I can’t get into any relationships - the panel is empty - and none of the forms in my solution will work.

Backtracked to a couple of previous (Solution) releases but no change. Forms don’t display any data or fields and Methods stop with Error messages.

Need help please. Thanks.

I responded to this earlier somewhere else.

Switch back to an earlier release, fix the relationships, and start up this release again. The relationships are there you just can’t see them.

If I remember correct this will be fixed in a next release…

Hi Marcel

Thanks for the response.

I had gone back 2 releases without success but after your message tried again and found the 3rd oldest worked. As suggested setup the relationship again and all working fine.

However I had to delete the latest releases as servoy will only save changes to the latest release - and couldn’t export them due to the relationship problem.

Appreciate your support - remind me to buy you a drink at the 1st Servoy Developers Conference.

Would be interested to hear from the wizards in Putten why a relationship that had been working suddenly stops. Spoilt my Sunday lunch thinking I had lost everything :)

I think this was just a bug in their c3 release… In my case (yes I had the same problem) it was my own mistake…

Hmmmmmmmm I love beer at the bar with a couple of nice people… Let’s do that conference!!! Maybe Ireland with its best of breed ale…

grahamg could you send me a solution that has that behaviour?
Because you say that the relations dialog just doesn’t display anything? No relations at all (so also the relations that are valid are not shown?)

ok we tracked it down.
will be fixed in RC5

Sorry Johan - only just catching up on posts.

It seemed to be a repository issue because when I had the problem I also found that I couldn’t open up relationships in the CRM demo.

Situation recovered now thanks to rolling back through the ‘Solution Releases’ feature.

On reflection later (after the panic had died down) I thought the problem may have been triggered by renaming a couple of Forms.

Hope this helps.

All should be ok now with RC5..
If a relation is broken it will show that relation on top of the list in the root.
