How does the new Tabseq work to change field tab order?

How does the new Tabseq field property work? I see that you can double-click it and then drag the field orders, to change their Tab order, but it does not seem to work.

When I click into a field and hit the Tab key on the keyboard it just adds a tab space to the text within the current field. Also, is there any way to omit an object from the Tab order?

I am running version R2 1.2rc5-build 257 on a WinXP PC.

Yes that should work fine

But you are using text area’s as an example and you can’t jump out of textarea with the TAB key (that will just insert a tab)
CTRL-Tab wil tab out of a textarea
