HTML_AREA not displaying correctly in print preview on Mac

If I place html code into a text global set as HTML_AREA and do a print preview of the form, what I see in the print preview is much different than what I see on the form. Usually, I see large gaps between table rows, sometimes gaps as large as 1-2 pages, and the differences when I toggle back and forth into print preview are never the same. I do not have this problem in Windows, only on the Mac. Occasionally I get this error when starting a print preview:

java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 1857133784

I thought it could have something to do with the global’s printSliding settings, but I turned them all off and still had problems. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Same results in Java 1.5.0

I think this post got lost. I’ll “raise” it to the top of the list.

Anyone got any ideas for Steve? Thanks

P.S. – If not posts, maybe come to the Users Group meeting and we can figure it out there??

I can confirm this behavior (very reproducible) and it is the type of bug that will keep us from going from 2.2 to 3.1 unfortunately as there is no work around and we have lot’s of reports done in html!

Posted it to the support system:

“Display issues with HTML area fields in print preview on Macs, v3.1. They work as expected on Windows. Same solution works fine on both Mac and Windows with v2.2”

It doesn’t seem to be a Mac Java issue as things have been working fine on v2.2 for a long time.
