I wanted to try the iPhoneBuilder so I downloaded it from the site. I’ve go a folder named “export” with a lot in it but the “Servoy_iPhone_Builder.servoy” .
I’m probably blind…
Can somebody tell me where I can find it?

Seems you unzipped the Servoy_iPhone_Builder.servoy file.
Zip it again and rename it to Servoy_iPhone_Builder.servoy, then you can import it into the repository.

Hi, I have performed all steps described but it’s not very accurate I’m afraid.
I end up with a message looking as inspiring as this;

[error] Import with XML version 1 is no longer supported. Export the solution again using a newer version of Servoy if possible, otherwise contact Servoy Customer Support.
I’m using a MacBook 2,4 Ghz which just arrived, MacOS X 10.5.6, and all the latest downloads I could find on Servoy.com…

did you perform a update after installing Servoy? The latest version is 4.1.0 - build 651, you can find this information under Servoy Eclipse ->About Servoy Developer (Mac) or Help → About Servoy Developer (Windows).

is the file you try to import still named like xxx.servoy?
If not it is unzipped at download and you should try to download it with and select save to see what happens.
The import failure tells you at least there is something wrong
I’m running 4.1.0, build 651. I also repackaged the “export” folder and renamed as advised. But I’ll try again. I just restarted the Servoy application, I haven’t tried restarted the service as stated in that iPhone PDF - it wasn’t clear if this was necessary? In my view though, the step by step instructions aren’t accurate - when performed on my Mac, I get other messages and such.

I thought I should be precise, so I wanted to print out the Installation Guide PDF here at the office. Using a printer in the Windows network, found from my Mac as well. A Toshiba e-520 something, a big bad hole punchin’ gizmo the size of two Volvo V70 trunks combined. Added drivers from Toshiba.com. The first few pages gets print out; the rest:

Cool, now it’s running. I can’t help wishing for a version where I could edit things from within that iPhone view to work in a real graphical way & understand what I do all the time, but this is cool as h*ll anyway. I didn’t do things correctly so my first preview ended up without buttons and such, but I’ll make a better attempt… this is rather mindblowing!

You need to create the ‘servoy_iphone_framework’-database connection.
In developer, go to the solution explorer and rightclick one of the database connections under the “Database Servers” node. Click “Create Sybase Database”, if it asks for a name, enter “servoy_iphone_framework”. Save the new connection and close developer. Shut down sybase by rightclicking the “lightning-bolt-icon” in your system tray and select “shutdown”. Now restart developer and do the import.
If you get an error when trying to create the database, you probably need to add the “<servoy_dir>/application_server/sybase_db/scripts” to your PATH-variable.
