IReport 3.7.4 Compatibility Issue

Hi all,
I’m working with Servoy 5.1.3 and IReport 3.7.4.

For the moment this is not working due to a compatibility issue in the libs used, or so I’ve heard.

Is anybody having this problem??

If you had, how did you solve it??

Is there a request to update the jasper servoy plugin to use IReport 3.7.4??

Thanks for the help

Cheers

I also have had a couple of issues with iReport 3.7.4. I’m still on vers. 3.7.3 and the reports are working well with Servoy 5.1.3 >> 5.2.1.
If it is possible for you, I would go back to 3.7.3.

Thanks tgs, I will go back to 3.7.3
Lets hope they get this problem fixed sooner or later.

Cheers

Thomas,
I’ve switched from IReport 3.7.4 to 3.7.3, but the exception is the same.

Could you post the url to download the correct version?

Thanks for the help.

You can download the iReport vers. 3.7.3 here:
http://jasperforge.org/projects/ireport

And I’m using the newest servoy_jasperreports plugin vers. 3.1_b3 you can find at:

How to upgrade/install iReport and the servoy_jasperreports plugin you can read at:

BTW, there are a lot of topics about iReport, JasperReport and the servoy_jasperreport plugin in the forum.
Discussions about the plugin you can find at:

Hope that helps

Just a general note on this topic. Especially in the point releases (3.7.1, 3.7.2, etc) it is normally a good idea to use the same version of iReport as the JasperReports plugin. For the current release release of the PRE BUILT plugin versions, this would be 3.7.1.

I have noticed (especially in 3.6 and 3.7 versions of JasperReports) that there can be differences between point releases that will cause reports built in one version of iReport that wont run in another version of JasperReports. I have seen this happen in 3.6 and 3.7 and I suspect it will occur in future versions of JasperReport/iReport as well.

If you need to use a different version of iReport for some reason (for instance a new feature) you have two options:
a) Build the plugin yourself using the advanced version, using the version of jasperreports.jar you desire
b) Change the jasperreports.jar file in the plugin’s resource folder to the version you want to use and edit the plugin’s jnlp file accordingly. This method may cause issues with other dependencies in the plugin if they have changed as well, but it is worth a shot if you do not want to go through the process of building the plugin yourself.

I have a reporting project right now that I am using iReport 3.7.1 for and it seems to be pretty stable and has all the functionality I need.

Hope this helps.

Hi all,
Just to make things clear, I should use the last version of the servoy plugin,
Servoy Jasper Reports Plugin Version 3.1.0 Beta 2 - ChartNScript Drop-in Version

And also IReport 3.7.3 or 3.7.1

Thanks for the help
