Jasper reports in web client?

My question is simple: Is it possible to view a jasper report in a web client? If so, how?

I’m currently working with ireport 4.0 and jasperreport plugin 3.2 (chartnscript). When I try to open a report in the webclient, it downloads a PDF, it doesn’t open a viewer like it does when I run the smart client. Maybe that’s how it works, but I am unable to find any info that clearly states “Jasperreports plugin only downloads a pdf when run from the webclient” (maybe I’m just incredibly lame at this interweb thing) or something of that sort…so 've spent the last three days trying to find and answer on how to make this work without success.

Since I’m just starting with jasper, I started from the documentation on ServoyForge, however some links are broken (Servoy JasperReports Tutorial, Jasper Reports) and those were probably had the path to save me from this conundrum.

The answer is simple: In web client you will always get a PDF, because the Jasper viewer is a java component that can’t run in a browser.
Same thing for VelocityReport, except that you can either get PDF or HTML back from preview in a browser.
