Jasper Reports Question

I am considering to use Jasper Reports in combination with Servoy.

I have two questions about functionality :

  1. Can Japser render Rtf or Html areas.
    I like to use these in Servoy.

  2. When i create a group it sometimes happens that the group header is
    at the bottom of one page and the records belonging to the group
    start on the next page.
    Is there some kind of Orphan/Widow setting ??
    I know there is a setting “print header on each page”, but this still gives
    a “lonely” header on the first page.

Found answer to second question :

you can set “Min Height to start new page” on the group settings.

If you set this to the heigth of the group header + 1 detail row, it will
never show a header only at the bottom of a page.

Unfortunately the answer to question 1 is no, no (unless I missed something)

As well, I like to use RTF fields.

Does anyone know a workaround or technique to get Jasper to deal appropriately with an RTF field for a Jasper Report?

I checked the Jasper Reports website. There is a feature request allready to implement a HTML field. Couldn’t find anything on RTF support.

So, it seems Jasper doesn’t support it right now. You could try to get it higher on the priority list at Jasper:
