Java6 showing up in Software Update

Java6 is now being pushed out via Software Update on Leopard.

It is not, however, installing as the default Java. Interesting.

You are right and your doc-link says that the Java SE 6 Update 1 is only for 64-bit Intel Macs. All others should be use ‘SoyLatte’ for MacOS X 10.5.2.
If you don’t get the update by System Software Updater you can download it here:

Servoy looks better on running with the Java SE 6 Update 1, but there are always a couple of issues like no icon in the Servoy dialogs, no data display in a table view row with bgcolor on active record and so on…

Thomas

I have suddenly got strange errors occurring following one of three things! (they never come in one).

  1. Some of my servoyguy plugins have started coming up with errors when i start my application.
ConversionError: The undefined value has no properties calling getGAuth. (google_app_login; line 8)
google_app_login
login.login
  1. When i copy the application to my macbook air it works fine.
  2. If i try to download Servoy 3.5.6 from fresh it says it cannot validate the certificate using webstart and if i download the jar it then goes to the second screen but show nothing for the license and then the only option is to quit. It does not give me the usual option to trust the certificate.

One of three things may have caused this:

  1. Changing my mac login password - but i have now cleared the keychain.
  2. It seems to have occured after installing Servoy 4.

Has anyone had the same thing happen. it seems to be a certification issue.

Do you actually have J6 installed and in use? From my own experience this screws up native library stuff which I have not yet solved myself yet…

Marcel,

I did the upgrade, but thought i had it set to five.

I just went to my java preferences a reselected 5 and then also move 1.5 to the top of the runtime list and sure enough the Servoy installer can now show the license!

and yes when i restart my developer version the plugin no longer crashes out.

Thanks for the pointer, your a genius as usual marcel.

The ‘as usual’ is too much honor but I do my best ;)
