on my mac, my desktop becomes full of all kinds of shortcuts.
on my PC, it does not store a shortcut on the desktop,
It does downloads a file in the download manager.
With Internet Explorer, we don’t see this behaviour.
In Firefox preferences, Main tab, set the default directory for downloads to some directory other than the desktop. Then at least your desktop won’t look so cluttered…
A Mac does seem to store the jnlp every time you click on an http link to a solution, the first click creating my_solution.jnlp, the next click creates my_solution-1.jnlp and so on.
But of course, once you have the jnlp on your hard drive you needn’t click the link anymore, just double-click the jnlp… that’s how I’ve handled it here.

Hi Ilyse,
I did that, but still the jnlp are stored on my desktop!
