a few problems with L&F:

  • on some clients, it uses the default L&F instead of using what has been set on server.
  • is there a way to lock the L&F: on mac, the prefs are always accessible, so a user can always set it back to default L&F, and then get all menu commands, which is an issue for me (Control J!!)

Hi lesouef,

If you want to disable ‘Show All’ you can set the form event ‘onShowAllRecordsCmd’ to -none-.
This will disable the menu item for that form (when used as main form). You can do that with other form events as well.

I noticed that already, what you say confirms there is no other way to disable all of them at once, I have to alter the menu actions on every form…
I was hoping to avoid that. and quite a few actions will remain active…
Any idea if version 4 will change that? I could not find the specs anywhere… Should not be too long now before we check this.

You can use the Kiosk plugin to disable the menubar but that doesn’t work for Mac OS X it seems (blame Apple).
But you can disable menuitems with IT2Be’s menubar plugin so if you really need to control the whole menubar I suggest you look at that.
