I recentley moved my solution to a widows 2003 server. I developed the soulution on a widows xp pro Laptop.
I am using the LAF Windows / silver
I have noticed that when I open the solution on the server using developer or client, certian form elements are not displaying properly. If I access the server from my laptop, the look and feel is correct, as initially developed.
How do correctly configure the server to display the correct LAF?

Are you on the server with a real monitor or using Terminal Services or Citrix? Ts/Citrix are famous for their UI glitches with many applications.
Well , the problem seems to be java versions I am runnig 1.4 on the server and some of the clients have different versions (like the machines running Fed Ex software (ASA)).
How can I ensure all clients are using 1.4 ? I know I get notifications to update to 1.5 all the time.

No it has nothing to do with the java version.
You make you buttons transparant?
indeed with the silver theme, you have nice buttons.
but with windows 2003 (also windows 2000 workstations and also Win XP in classic mode) the buttons becomes really transparant.
That’s why I don’t use windows L&F but a L&F that is consistant on every platform, with any theme active.
Well, crap, looks like I have allot of work to do
