Being relatively new to Servoy, I am a little surprised by the fact that there are no layout guides that can be dragged from the rulers onto the form. This would allow the developer, building complex layouts, to properly align all the elements on the forms in relation to each other (snap to guides).
For example, if you use subforms on tab panels, and you have multiple tabs to select from, it can be very annoying if elements on each form on each tab are not perfectly aligned and sized exactly the same. Imagine an orders table view on one tab, and a support incidents table view on another tab.
Doing this alignment manually, means you have to establish a size for the subforms (HxW), and then manually record the settings to be used for all subform elements so that they are all aligned.
I know there is snap to grid, and that the grid size can be controlled, and there are keyboard shortcuts to move elements around, but it is still a pain comparing one forms elements to another and aligning them identically.
